Our third Thailand Trip - 4Days 3Nights in Phuket

I am always in love with island trip. But don't know why.... Only Phuket, I phobia.... Phobia because of tsunami.... Dreamt of it before... You can say that I am thinking nonsense here... But, still... I am scare.. Yet, I love island trip... ^^"

So, when Mr Dunhill Red told me that he decided for us a Phuket trip.. I was having mixed feeling... Thinking that should I say yes or no.... However, Mr Dunhill Red said that I was thinking too much after told him everything. So, this trip was just "on" like this...

It was the second time for us to travel there.... But first time for us to be there together.... (That was the reason of Mr Dunhill Red wanted to go there with me since he claimed that never be there with me together before) 6 years already.... It has been 6 years since my last visit... The last visit was with my family... So, I can't recall much thing about that place. Only remember the lovely islands hopping trip... The beautiful sea in turquoise color... And of course, the Bangla street where I drunk once at there before :p

ACCOMMODATION

Everytimes when I am planning on the accommodation for a trip, it has always be my habit of need to do a lot of research.. Read the reviews from different websites (blog, agoda, tripadvisor.... ), check and compare the rate, even call the hotel up and ask for crew rate and etc... I am stingy a little bit. So, the hotel must be nice and cheap. If can offer me everything with the cheapest rate, that's the best! hahaha...

As for this trip, I chose Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong Beach Central..... As I compared among few hotels, I think this hotel offer the best value. With the cheapest rate (around RM200 per night after tax), I can get a nice cozy room, a good breakfast with take-away service (love the self service coffee machine so much! just like starbuck.. can take away) and most importantly... It was just newly open for few months only... Apart from this, free wifi, nice swimming pool and close to the beach... What else to complain with the price we paid huh ;)

Nice room, nice pool and nice coffee machine!

They even offer a soft and firm pillow to choose

Breakfast area

When we were there, we woke up 6am in the morning... Never failed... Just to have our breakfast... Then after breakfast, for sure I allowed myself to dip in the pool for at least 30mins. That was the best time to swim cause the whole pool will be just me alone. And it will be all mine!!!!!! Wahahahaha!! Love it so much~

TRANSPORTATION

Of course, we flew there with Malaysia Airlines due to we can get a crew discount rate to fly. And yes.. It's our entitlement to enjoy the benefit to the max.... So, this time we flew glamorous  a bit.... :p

Business Class

As usual, got our favorite seats in business class (4C and 4D)... Always love the last row seats before the divider due to I can recline the seat anytime without worrying about safety reason or people who sit behind us.

Shot this while waiting at the golden lounge

Flight that bound for Phuket from Kuala Lumpur took 1hours and 15mins. After reached the airport, we can either choose to take taxi or shuttle bus to the hotel. Of course, the price for private taxi will be much more expensive. Please take note that the taxi there don't run meter ya... So, we chose shuttle bus since we were not in a rush.. Then, why should we waste more money for the taxi, right? ^^ But only downside for taking the shuttle bus is.. they will stop you at a travel agency shop there to introduce all the travel package. From there, you will be needed to wait around 30mins. For this trip, we did not sign up for any package since we just wanted to relax and enjoy our food and beer.... and food and beer.... and FOOD and BEER!!!

FOOD AND BEER!

So, visit Thailand... Of course must eat my all time favorite - Thai Food, Tom Yam! And drink his all time favorite - cheap beer!!!! For this 4days 3nights, food is always thai food, thai food and thai seafood... And Drink is always beer, beer and cheap beer..... Every of our meal never miss the tom yam and beer.. Haha!

Allow me to present you the same tom yam but from different shop that I've visited.... :p

See how i am crazy over the tom yam soup~ hehe.....

Seafood in Phuket is consider quite cheap. Eventually, we found out that there was a shop at the back of our hotel was actually not bad. So, the last 2 days basically we just had all of our meals there. Nice seafood that we can get to bargain before we dine in. It was really contributed a lot to our cholesterol ^^"

Lastly, how can we miss the local dessert....

Slrrrrp~ Miss this pancake so much~ Why I can only find it in Thailand >.<

SIGHTSEEING

As we didn't join any island hopping trip, so we just past our days by walking at the seaside, relaxing, and chit chatting... It has always be our way of communicating and keep our relationship "fresh" as newly in love couple :p

Spotted this shop while walking at the seaside.... Very nice decorated shop but I didn't dine at here.... Anyway, it is a nice shop to chill out and watch the sunset..

Watched the sunset together with Mr Dunhill Red after had our dinner at the seaside...

How could I miss Bangla Road when I was in Phuket ya~ It is still as crowded as 6years ago... ^^"

It is a real person, just like the red light district in Amsterdam..

Thailand is always one of my favorite countries... Ever since I know Mr Dunhill Red, I realized that we always visit one place in Thailand each year. First year, Bangkok; Second year, Koh Samui; And now third year, Phuket... How about next year? Need to think about it first....... ^^

My 3rd Time Of Blood Donation Experience

I always believe that you will get something good in return if you always do good deeds...Why I said so?

It happened on last week... After attending the mass in the church, I heard that there was a blood donation campaign in the church due to the Puasa Month is coming ( That was the reason for that campaign. Puasa month = more blood needed? Confused O.o ) So, of course I was the first one to say "yes" to this campaign due to I've been looking for the blood donation campaign to donate my blood. But, it always not at the right timing when I found it. So, this time... Everything was just so right!

I went for it..... Was waited there for about 30mins due to they were having their lunch... I was a little bit hungry too. But was thinking that maybe I was just nervous.. Finally I did my blood donation after 30mins.

Everything went smoothly... No dizzy, nothing... Just felt hungry... Compared to the last two times I donated my blood, I got 100plus instead of milo.. Together with some biscuits, of course... So, I had it all... Then drive to Mid Valley with my grandma and cousin sister... We went to Restaurant Flying Chillies to have my all time favorite food - Thai food. Once ordered the food, my stomach was feeling so pain. Rushed into the toilet.... Once came out from the toilet, I was feeling so dizzy and just squat at the side there... Seriously, nobody bothered about me. How sad right? Until I can blurry see a chinese aunty walked passed. So, I called her and asked her that whether she got sweet with her or not. She said no then started to feel worry. Then, she asked another malay aunty. And Thank God! This malay aunty gave me some mint chewing gums and it freshen my mind. Immediately I felt better!

That's explained do good deeds will get something good in return. I was thinking that maybe I donated my blood to people who need it and now the malay aunty helped me. Thank her so much for the help. Although it was just 3 mint chewing gums. But honestly, if without this 3chewing gums, I guess... instead of enjoying my thai food at the restaurant, I will be at the hospital and having the salt water hanging at the side ^^"

Two nights in Kuantan - Part 2

What will you do when you are at the seaside? Picnic? Erm... Not my style...  Swim in the sea? I prefer to swim in the pool then.. "Wash your eyes" by looking at the bikini girls? erm... I didn't see one when I was in Kuantan though :p Haha...

When we had whole day free at Kuantan, we actually went for a walk at the seaside....

Mr Dunhill Red was telling me about his childhood stories when his "kampung" is actually just near to the beach... How he learnt to fish, how he find and dig the clams out from the sand and etc.. I always love to listen and talk to him. Just feel that it will makes our relationship becoming better.. And that is why we always enjoy each other accompany together and love to travel together...

While we were talking and walking down the seaside, Mr Dunhill Red found this.....

A stone full with all this "tiny black thing"..... So, Mr Dunhill Red's hand "itchy"... he started to pull it out...

And look... what he found!!!

Balitong!!

A stone that full of all this balitong!!! Not only balitong~ There are alot alot alot of clams as well!!!!!

At that moment, I just wish to have a bucket with me. Then for sure I will just dig it all out and bring to the restaurant nearby to ask them to cook this....

and this....

Slrrrrrrrp~~~ Think of it also nice.... But, too bad... no bucket with me >.< Wasted...

As what Mr Dunhill Red always says, I am a city girl and he is a "kampung" boy. It was my first time see this at the seaside... A nice outing with Mr Dunhill Red~

Dating With Mr Dunhill Red

Mentioned at this entry before... that I supposed to have a celebration with Mr Dunhill Red on this Wednesday. But when he was back from his working trip, out of nowhere he told me that he got a new plan for our anniversary celebration. So, I was like......

It was because... I already got the movie tickets for both of us a day before. Was planning to catch a movie with him then maybe just go for a simple candle-light dinner together... But, who knows... He told me that he wanted to bring me to Sandakan, Sabah on his next three days off in next month, July.. Why? Don't know... I was jokingly saying that maybe he wanted to bring me to visit his "brothers"....

Hahahahaha! So, no choice.... The next day we still went out together to watch the movie that I always wanted to watch.. Heard that it's not bad... And indeed, it really was.... World War Z..

It was a movie that talking about zombies and how to find the cure. A little bit different from the typical zombie movie. Typical zombie movie usually talking about how to survive but this movie is talking about finding the cure. Furthermore, zombie movie has always be my favorite movie. And in part of the movie, certain zombies actually acting quite funny... So for zombie movie lovers like me, I strongly recommend it! ;)

After movie, we had a window shopping.. Then chilled out at coffee bean there before heading back home.... A simple dating day with Mr Dunhill Red which I always love....

"Birthday Cake" frappuccino - A creamy vanilla shake. Taste not bad, but a little bit too sweet for me >.<

P/S: Just got a called from Mr Dunhill Red, asking me about my IC number. I guess that he just bought the flight ticket for me^^ Really looking forward to the next trip with Mr Dunhill Red.. Can't wait to see his "brothers", especially the one with big nose... hahahaha!

Sharing: An Amazing thought of A Provoking Painting "Beijing 2008" by Chinese-Canadian Artist Liu Yi.

Read this somewhere on the internet.. I am not a political person but found it very interesting. If you finish reading the whole article, just can't be deny that a picture can really worth a thousand words... This is one of the example for this saying - "A Picture Worth A Thousand Words".

The woman with the tattoos on her back is China. On the left, focused intensely on the game, is Japan. The one with the shirt and head cocked to the side is America. Lying provocatively on the floor is Russia. And the little girl standing to the side is Taiwan.

This painting, named “Beijing 2008”, has been the subject of much discussion in the west as well as on the internet. What’s interesting is that this painting is called “Beijing 2008”, yet it depicts four women playing mahjong, and conceals a wealth of meaning within…

China’s visible set of tiles “East Wind” has a dual meaning. First, it signifies China’s revival as a world power. Second, it signifies the military might and weaponry that China possesses has already been placed on the table. On one hand, China appears to be in a good position, but we cannot see the rest of her hand. Additionally, she is also handling some hidden tiles below the table.

America looks confident, but is glancing at Taiwan, trying to read something off of Taiwan’s expression, and at the same time seems to be hinting something at Taiwan.

Russia appears to be disinterested in the game, but this is far from the truth. One foot hooks coyly at America, while her hand passes a hidden tile to China, both countries can be said to be exchanging benefits in secret. Japan is all seriousness while staring at her own set of tiles, and is oblivious to the actions of the others in her self-focused state.

Taiwan wears a traditional red slip, symbolizing that she is the true heir of Chinese culture and civilization. In one hand she has a bowl of fruit, and in the other, a paring knife. Her expression as she stares at China is full of anger, sadness, and hatred, but to no avail; unless she enters the game, no matter who ends up as the victor, she is doomed to a fate of serving fruit.

Outside the riverbank is darkened by storm clouds, suggesting the high tension between the two nations is dangerously explosive. The painting hanging on the wall is also very meaningful; Mao’s face, but with Chiang Kai Shek’s bald head, and Sun Yat-Sen’s mustache.

The four women’s state of undress represent the situation in each country. China is naked on top, clothed with a skirt and underwear on the bottom. America wears a bra and a light jacket, but is naked on the bottom. Russia has only her underwear left. Japan has nothing left.

At first glance, America appears to be most composed and seems to be the best position, as all the others are in various states of nakedness. However, while America may look radiant, her vulnerability has already been exposed. China and Russia may look naked, yet their key private parts remain hidden.

If the stakes of this game is that the loser strips off a piece of clothing, then if China loses, she will be in the same state as Russia (similar to when the USSR dissolved). If America loses, she also ends up in the same state as Russia. If Russia loses, she loses all. Japan has already lost everything.

Russia seems to be a mere “filler” player, but in fact is exchanging tiles with China. The real “filler” player is Japan, for Japan has nothing more to lose, and if she loses just once more she is immediately out of the game.

America may look like she is in the best position, but in fact is in a lot of danger, if she loses this round, she will give up her position as a world power. Russia is the most sinister, playing along with both sides, much like when China was de-occupied, she leaned towards the USSR and then towards America; as she did not have the ability to survive on her own, she had to weave between both sides in order to survive and develop.

There are too many of China’s tiles that we cannot see. Perhaps suggesting that China has several hidden aces? Additionally China is also exchanging tiles with Russia, while America can only guess from Taiwan’s expression of what actions have transpired between Russia and China. Japan on the other hand is completely oblivious, still focused solely on her own set of tiles.

Taiwan stares coldly at the game from aside. She sees everything that the players at the table are doing, she understands everything that is going on. But she doesn’t have the means or permission to join the game, she isn’t even given the right to speak. Even if she has a dearth of complaints, she cannot voice it to anyone, all she can do is to be a good page girl, and bring fresh fruit to the victor.

The final victor lies between China and America, this much is apparent. But look closely; while America is capable, they are playing Chinese Mahjong, not Western Poker. Playing by the rules of China, how much chance at victory does America really have?

First Time In Haneda, Japan - Part 2

To be continued from this entry...

On second off day, woke up early....

View from my room

At the side of the hotel is an aquarium... So, I can get to see the dophins swimming from my room...

After that, got a call from set crews, asking out to lunch together.... So, we went to the food court at the side of the hotel.... When we don't even know how to speak japanese, how to order food.... Don't worry... Japan is a very high-tech country.. See what they have in the food court....

A food order machine

It written in mandarin words. So, it wasn't a problem for me

Got a receipt after order

And this small machine... Don't know what it called. But, it alerted me once my food was done prepared.

Food ordered by set crews:

And that's my food....

Yakisoba with egg

Japan "Ice Kacang"

After filled up our empty stomach, we decided to visit the aquarium at the side of the hotel since we came so far to Japan, right? Just made this trip worthy.... The aquarium called Epson Aqua Stadium...

The real big stingray

Cute little penguin

Visited the aquarium, how could I missed the sea lions show.....

Followed by the dophins and whale show.....

After visited the aquarium, went to the food court to take away some food.... And it was my last meal in Haneda before flew back to KL....

Brought back some snacks to KL as well....

One of my favorite choco from Japan.. The price is cheaper by half compared to KL price.

So, goodbye Haneda until I see you again......
