Hanoi for Darl's birthday celebration - Part 1

Ever since the bad experience in our last visit to Saigon, Vietnam, we decided to give it a try to visit Vietnam once again. But, this time we choose to go Hanoi for my darl darl's birthday.
How we ended up to choose this place? The story starts like this...... One fine day, darl darl came back home and told me that he got his annual leave approved. But it separated into 3weeks instead of 11days of annual leave straight at one time. And i was like..... "huh?!" So, i thought maybe this time we can choose to go for a place for 1 of the slot of his approved annual leave. So, i told him that i feel like going to Australia or New Zealand or maybe Istanbul. But he just told me that the living expences at there are quite high, maybe somewhere cheaper. And he decided to go for 2holidays with me this time. I was sooooo sooooo happy~ So, i told him to choose 1 place and i choose 1 as well. He ended up choosing Phuket with his reason of wanted to go with me since he never been there with me together (both of us visit Phuket before). And i chose Hanoi with a thought of just wanted to visit Halongbay.
Then, we started on our hotels and flight tickets booking... and i ended up chose Hanoi Moment Hotel since it has quite a number of good reviews in agoda and tripadvisor.

No doubt! This is how the room looked like when we entered our room.............. SURPRISE!!!!!!!

Yes!!!! they decorated the room for my darl darl's birthday.... and they even gave him a complementary birthday cake... By the way, did i said how much is the room costs? We always book our hotels thru agoda and this hotel is only costs us around rm150/night, breakfast included. With the service that they have, i can say that its really cheap and worth our stay~ highly recommend this hotel!!!!!!!!!

Lovely birthday cake and card from the hotel staffs

A photo with the birthday boy is a must! ^^

Complimentary DAILY fruits platter from the hotel

After unpacked all of our stuffs in the room, we decided to go out for "jalan - jalan"..... Once stepped out from the hotel.... As usual, what we see the most in Vietnam is still....... MOTOR!

Below is the picture of the Hanoi City Centre in Old Quarter district area where near the Hoan Kiem Lake.

Me and darl on the street

Night view for one of the street in Old Quarter Distreet

As we walked in the streets between the Old Quarter Distreet, I realised that Vietnam has something similar to China, which is there have one whole street is only selling coffee; one whole street is only selling shoes; one whole street is only selling clothes and etc..

Is the shoes really that cheap? I have no idea.. What i saw is only a bunch of girls busy choosing shoes at there. Just this store... dunno why... O.o

Now here we are..... Hoan Kiem Lake~~~

Darl with the lake: Take 2

Darl with the lake : Take 3

Darl don't quite like to take photo. But everytimes because of his baby girl (ME) forced to do so and he got no choice~ So, most of the photo definitely will have all these Take 1, Take 2, Take 3 and so on...... hehe....

At the lake there, we saw alot of people jogging there. Somehow I can see how a healthy life Vietnamese has... With the chilled weather, it was indeed a very good idea to jog at the lake area. I'm not a exercise person, but at that moment, I really wished that i could have bring my exercise attire along.

Just to share.... The beauty of the Hoan Kiem Lake..

Turtle Tower on the small "island" at the middle of the lake

Night view of Hoan Kiem Lake

The lake is very huge. It took us more than an hour to finish walking around the lake. Before we can finish walking around the lake, we were actually half a mind thinking of FOOD and FOOD and FOOD......... and here we got the dinner before heading back to hotel.........

As usual, noodle soup is mine~

And fried rice is belongs to Mr. Dunhill Red (my darl darl)

A lovely turn down service from the hotel staff to wish us a good night after we back to our room....
