Holiday Trip With Family To Japan - Osaka (Part 2)

5. KITA AREA, 北区 - OSAKA / UMEDA

How can we miss out this place while we were actually in the Osaka, Japan? When people keep saying about Osaka, it is just like we as a Malaysian keep saying about Kuala Lumpur. But yet, some of them never realise that they actually just go to some cities near to Kuala Lumpur (e.g. Subang, Petaling Jaya and etc) but not the Kuala Lumpur city itself. So, same goes to here... This time, we went to this Osaka main city~

Osaka Main Station

See how crowded in the Osaka Station

The red dot is where we were and there are few shopping malls nearby

There are few freelance singer singing at the road side~ Nice voice created a nice atmosphere in Osaka

Unique building~ Daddy said that this whole building maybe full of the green plants after 5years

When we were walking down the street from the Daimaru Department Store Umeda, we were lucky to witnessed this event - Umeda Yukata Matsuri. It is the summer event. Yukata is the informal cotton kimono for summer wear. From what I understand... This event is the Japanese's Moving God Ceremony and they are allowed to wear their Yukata to celebrate this festival every year. So, it explained that this event called Yukata Matsuri~

They were actually moving from one place to another place

Another team of people.. I guess they are from different schools

One more different team. This team full of small kids~

On the other side, we also spotted another event outside the Osaka Station - Umeda Uchimizu Daisakusen. It is the tradition way of Japanese to keep cool in the summer and also to keep dust level at a minimum. And the point is they don't use the tap water. Instead, they were using the left over rain water or left over water from bath in order to improve the environmental awareness.

Din't managed to snap any picture for this event... When spotted this event, I was actually wondering why they wasted the water by simply throwing it on the floor.. Or maybe it's the same festival as the Songkran Water Festival in Thailand? Hah! After came back and did some researches, realised that I was totally wrong! Maybe next time if I still have the chance to go during summer, I am definitely join this event~ Sprinkle some water to show my environmental concern~ :p

So, basically it was a shopping trip in Osaka....  But we were so lucky to witness these two events..
Here are some other interesting things that we found out during our shopping trip....

Grapes made by gold?!?! 10500Yen for 1 pack = RM336?!?!

Another one... 13125Yen = RM420 !!! I wonder how sweet the grapes is ^^"

Not able to buy the expensive big grapes... So, we bought this mini grapes~ Only found in Japan.

What is this uncle selling?

Let's see

ok.. Ice~

With some blue color syrup~ And What?!?! 400Yen = RM12.80 with nothing inside except syrup!! Even Malaysia ice kacang also not so expensive~

Raining season, even mannequins also hold umbrellas

Such a cheap Evian water. Only 89Yen = RM2.85 for one big bottle

If english is not good or mandarin is too good~ Drug = 药?? Something is wrong...

Launch? or Lunch?

I realised that japanese just love to line up~ Line up to enter the restaurant / bakery shop is normal, but line up to take the lift in shopping mall? Why can't they use the escalator? O.o

Another good thing I found out about Japan.... Whenever people wanted to try the clothes at the fitting room, the staff will handover a white color cover... What is it for and how to use it?

Like this!!!! Isn't it good? So that we won't dirty the clothes with our make up or powder on the face....

I am sorry but just can't help to take this old lady photo. She is at my grandma's age and yet wear such a sexy bareback dress~ Respect her for the young heart she has...

Bag cover that only found in Japan~ How to use? Good for rainny day...

I saw a lot of beautiful and cute meal boxes selling in Japan department store.. Here's the story... I told mummy that if I have a child, definitely I will get one for him/her. So that my child can bring it to school. Then for sure other children will ask my child that where did he/she get this meal box. Then my child can show off and tell them... "My mummy bought this for me from JAPAN!!" After that, mummy  only gave me one look and said that I am crazy! :p

We can see a lot of vending machines in Japan... Even newspaper also selling by using vending machine... I first time saw this...

Newspaper printing machine

Ready stock newspaper machine

In Japan, A lot of Japanese buy startbuck coffee in the small size instead of tall size~ Such a real small mini size~

HOW DID WE GET THERE

We took JR train again... In Osaka, it is much easier to take JR train. We went to Osaka / Umeda a day before we flew back to Malaysia. So, we departed from the Tennoji Station near our hotel and it costs us 190Yen per person / way.

Tennoji --- Osaka Loop Line ---> Osaka
