Flight for KUL/KIX/KUL by MAS
One day in February, so happened I saw one of my ex colleague posted a message in fb, stated that flight for KUL/KIX/KUL was on promotion and it was only RM189 (tax included) per person. I quickly went to daddy and it was true that the flight was really RM189 only! So, we bought the tickets. The trip was on 13th - 21th July 2013.
So yea~ We got our tickets at a real cheap price ;) When I told people, nobody believed it~ There goes our trip started…..
ACCOMMODATIONS
After bought the tickets, daddy was actually kinda indecisive due to the concern of the phone bill that will be charged in Japan. It was a very spontaneous decision for us to buy the ticket. So…. Basically, we didn't plan / book for our accommodation until a week before we depart to Japan.
Furthermore, I was away from KL with Mr. Dunhill Red a week before…. So, again…… Last minutes planning together with daddy ;)
Eventually, we decided for three hotels during our stays in Japan… And yes~ we needed to move our big luggages and changed hotel. However, we do not worry about moving the big luggages due to Japan is a well known developed country. Anywhere we went, we can either use the escalator or lift… Such a convenience for us….
Talking about the escalator….. Would like to share some information for those who never been to Japan. Japanese are very polite and well behave due to how they have been brought up. So, everybody there is always follow the rules and do things systematically. Even using the escalator… For those who tend to use the escalator and just stand right there until you reach the top/bottom, you have to stand on the right side. While the left side is for those who are rushing, so they can just walk up straight without people blocking.
My bro always love to be in front of my camera
Come back to the hotels booking……
i) Hotel Shinsaibashi Lions Rock (14th - 15th July 2013)
We booked two rooms - One for 3 persons, another one for 2 persons. Free wifi throughout the hotel, even in the room. Location wise is very good~ Only drawback is the room is damn small. I know that it is normal for Japan. But I also know that we can still get a better bigger room at this price.
See how small the room is…. With all the luggages put at the walkway, it became obstacles. Barely we can walk thru… However, the hotel has a cute little pet. Isn't it adorable~
We booked this hotel simply because it was a last minutes booking and no much choices left for us. This hotel seems like the best choice for us at that moment. Anyway, location of the hotel made up for everything.
Please take note that this hotel check in time is only 3pm and check out time is at 10am. I was so surprised when I heard that we needed to check out at 10am ^^" Yet, I can't comment much about this since it is the hotel policy (Their reason is they need time to clean the room for the next guests). If we wanted to extend the check out time, they need us to pay 1000Yen per hour. So, yes! In Japan, everything is money… Liked I said, they follow rules. Whatever black and white write it down, they follow. So, no hanky panky or tricky tricks to bluff it thru.
ii) Hotel Keihan Kyoto (15th - 18th July 2013)
Again, we booked two rooms - One for 3 and another one for 2. This hotel provided free wifi as well. But wifi connection is really bad in the room. So, I went to the lobby and used the wifi every night, instead of use the wifi in room.
The room is really big! It doesn't look like the typical Japanese style room. Very comfortable stay. Location is also very good, just right opposite the Kyoto Station. Shopping, Sigh-seeing, food all comes in handy.
The hotel is located at the side of the Avanti Shopping Mall
The view from our room
iii) Hotel Miyako Tennoji [18th - 21th July 2013]
When we decided to book this hotel, we can't get a 2person room. So, it ended up we booked two rooms for 3person each.
Free wifi but only in lobby. In room, they offer a LAN cable for internet used. However, thank God that daddy brought his "small little car" modem. So, we plugged it in then we got our wifi for free~ Connection wise is far far better than the previous hotel.
From the hotel website, we read that there is a swimming pool in the hotel. So, we brought our swim suits together.. Who knows when we reached the hotel, we were informed that we need to pay to use the swimming pool. And they charged 2500Yen per person for one day!!!!!! That's too much!!!! It was our first time to stay in the hotel where we need to pay to use the swimming pool and the fitness centre. Overall, the room is big, shower is good, view is really spectacular. Even location wise also not bad. It just right opposite the JR Tennoji Station with few shopping malls around. But, for me, I think I will prefer to stay at the other hotel at Shinsaibashi/Namba Area.
Tickets and hotels booked…. Money changed….. Everything is done~ So, here we started our 8 days of Osaka and Kyoto Trip…..
