Is Malaysian Still Need To Apply Japan Visa?
Yes... I got this question quite often ever since we decided to go Japan. Even the airport staff, immigration officer also asked me the same question =.= Yes! I am not telling the lie! In fact, immigration officer did ask me this question and I am still wondering why until now... Isn't the immigration officer should know better than us?!
Anyway, the answer is..... Only Malaysian who holds the old passport need to apply visa while the one who holds the new passport with a chip at the front cover of the passport doesn't need to apply visa. Don't understand what am I talking about? Google it please~ Whatever photo or news that people spread around online is true. It has been proven by the Japan Embassy officer ^^
Nowadays, applying Japan visa is a very very easy job. I had done my research online before applying the visa. So, definitely I was well prepared with all the documents, including FD slips, bank account, letter, itineary form and so on... And guess what? When I reached there, they only need 3 simple things, which is the application form (downloadable from the Japan Embassy website), one piece of photo (white background) and the passport. Furthermore, I can collect it on the next day. No longer 3working days anymore. I guess it is because most Malaysian do not need to apply visa anymore. So, what I saw in the embassy also just a few people and the wait was not long, unlike what others described in their blogs. And the best part is all Malaysian who apply visa are entitled for the multiple entry even if you are the first timer who travel to Japan. We will be granted with maximum 90days per entry with not more than 180days per year. Isn't it that great? ^^
So..... after this Osaka and Kyoto trip..... more Japan trips to come.... wooohoooo~~~~ ^^v
